The Bearcat has suffered an engine failure during practise for an airshow in Switzerland recently. There were no casualties as the machine was landed back on the deck without undue fuss. However, the engine will have to be changed before the machine can make its way back to the UK.

A replacement engine has been found and will be applied to the airframe as soon as time and transport aircraft availability allow. The machine was not damaged in any way during the incident, and the pilot is equally healthy following a sharp piece of emergency recovery work.
