The second set of wing leading edge formers have been made for the aircraft by the small team of volunteers on this project, and they have even remade the rudder trim tab, a wonderful act of optimism as they don't actually have a rudder to put it on yet!

The tail plane has also seen a little action in recent weeks, the huge number of pieces being cleaned, checked and coated for re-use in the final item. The wing centre section jigs will be re-used for the tail plane when the time comes, which will save a great deal of time in the overall rebuild.

While the canopy is complete on the cockpit section, there is further work to be done in the latter at some stage in the future and it is likely that it will have to be brought down to ground level to enable this work to take place.
