P-51C “Princess Elizabeth”
“Princess Elizabeth” was acquired by TFC in 1996, made it’s first display appearance in 1997. In 1998 it was returned to the US for a full rebuild, and returned to Duxford in 2000. Further work was needed before the Mustang flew again and that happened in 2005.
This aircraft departed TFC in 2007, and now resides in the US. It did return to the UK in 2013 to take part in Duxford’s Eagle Squadron celebration during the May Airshow. I also took part in Flying Legends, after which it was shipped back.
