  • DCS P-51D Flight Sim released

Another of those just in time for Christmas items. DCS have just released their P-51D Flight sim. Those who attended the TFC event earlier this year will have seen the stunning attention to detail that sets this warbird flight sim apart. More information available HERE

We will have details of how to order this direct in the next few days………

  • Another Website Facelift and other admin news

We are doing a bit of internal redecoration in the offices and thought the website ought to benefit from this as well.

Over the next few weeks we will be transitioning to a new look web presence. This will allow us to show off the archive of photo history from TFC as well as keep you up to date with the latest news in one logical place.

This will happen in stages so we don’t disrupt things too much.

Final news update: Fighter Log – where is it? Well the Logs are all printed and the first batch were in the post tonight. We ran out of polybags at a critical envelope stuffing time this week end – it all went very, very quiet and it was my fault (first time for everything they say), we aim to have the remainder posted out both UK and Worldwide by the end of the week.

  • Flying Legends 2013 Tickets

Update November 14th 2012: Tickets for our world famous event will be on sale in the very near future – we will flash the news on Facebook and diary pages as soon as we can confirm availability.

The latest edition of Fighter Log is released online to members of FofTFC HERE along with a little bonus feature. The printed version has been despatched to the printer with post out expected with in 14 days.

  • Friday 12th October

Another busy day for the engineering team at TFC. The Mk XIV and Corsair were given some exercise by the Guv’nor and the Harvard was also up and about. We look forward to meeting up with Friends at our stand in the hangar on Sunday morning.

Rob Scott caught this rather nice portrait of the Corsair for us.

  • The Fleet gets ready

On the ramp at  Duxford today, Martin  in the Harvard, Fred in the Spitfire, also Corsair photo just in!

  • P-40F Engine runs

P-40F is having engine test today in preparation for the display this week end. That is “Dutch Bob” watching, our current College work experience guy.

  • Not Forgotten

In a corner of the hangar volunteers have been involved in a special restoration project. It is now 17 years since we lost Colin Dunwell and Chris Gardner in an accident while passengers flying in Confederate Air Force B-26 “Carolyn” in the US on 28th September 1995. Their families donated a bench placed in the shadow of a tree which has been outside Hangar 2 by the crew room as a memorial…. and a much valued seat for members of the TFC team to sit and ponder and remember. Colin and Chris were both key members of the volunteer team at TFC and when you next visit Duxford you may care to spend a moment sitting on “Their Bench” outside the crew room to remember two great guys we lost too early. Not forgotten.”

  • Congratulations to Stevo and Strega !
